Comfort Works is seeking a Product Development & Sourcing Executive to join our Product Innovation team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our product lifecycle, focusing on product data management, market research, and coordination support for product launches. You will bridge the gap between initial sourcing and final e-commerce presence by managing vendor relationships, ensuring rigorous quality assurance for prototypes, and maintaining accurate product information across our digital platforms
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Liaise and communicate with suppliers and business partners in China (and other relevant regions). Manage vendor registration, draft sales contracts, and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
- Material Sourcing: Source, analyse, and select raw materials, hardware, and components required for new and ongoing product development.
- Negotiation: Negotiate for the best prices and payment terms for every purchase while maintaining the highest level of quality, reliability, and service.
- Project Management: Manage project-based procurement, track production statuses, oversee Quality Control (QC), and liaise with the internal logistics team on shipment arrangements. Follow through on inbound delivery plans and ensure prompt after-sales support whenever required.
- Inventory & Order Management: Manage repeating orders with existing vendors. Monitor on-time delivery to avoid any interruptions to product launches and production operations.
- Prototyping & Quality Assurance: Check and ensure the finishing quality, specifications, and aesthetics for all new samples/prototypes are according to the design brief before proceeding with mass production. Ensure all materials and components pass the required lab and safety tests to meet our product warranties and compliance standards.
- Market Research: Research and analyse industry trend websites and publications. Attend overseas trade shows for market research and compile reports relating to material innovations, design trends, and new manufacturing techniques.
- Reporting & Assessment: Assist in preparing launch and sourcing reports, update the approved vendor list as required, and assist in the yearly vendor performance assessment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Assist in product launches, go-to-market strategies, and provide on-set management for photoshoots. Work alongside Customer Support, Production, and R&D to find solutions for problematic areas identified from customer feedback.
- E-Commerce & Product Maintenance: Maintain and update live product pages. Monitor and track product requests, ensuring that all customers can easily find their products.
- Product Expertise: Become a product expert, providing technical support and advice to the customer experience and marketing teams.
- Data Analysis: Gather product data, customer feedback, competitor research, and consumer trends to guide future product development.

Requirements:
- English and Chinese fluency (both written and spoken) is required for this role.
- Proficiency in product sourcing, product launching, and vendor management.
- Ability to source raw materials and components while negotiating optimal pricing and payment terms without compromising quality.
- Skilled in tracking production statuses, overseeing Quality Control (QC), and managing project-based procurement.
- Experience using Google Workspace and Asana.
- Ability to conduct market research on industry trends and perform data analysis on customer feedback and competitor offerings.
